It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the Principal of Somerset Academy Riverside for the 2026–2027 school year. My name is Ms. Sonia Andreu, and I have had the privilege of serving this incredible school community as both Principal and Assistant Principal since 2019.
My journey in education began with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Barry University in 2003. I went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Reading Education from Nova Southeastern University in 2006, and later obtained my Educational Leadership degree in 2017.
With over 20 years of experience in education, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students across all grade levels—from Kindergarten through 12th grade. These diverse experiences have deepened my commitment to nurturing the whole child and creating learning environments where every student can thrive.
As Principal, my mission is to continue fostering a strong sense of community and family here at Somerset Academy Riverside. Alongside our dedicated team of educators, I am committed to partnering with each family to support student success, promote academic excellence, and cultivate lifelong learners.
