A WELL-ROUNDED MIDDLE SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
EXPLORE. DISCOVER. ACHIEVE.
At Somerset Academy Riverside, our middle school program gives students opportunities to explore their interests, strengthen their academic foundation, and challenge themselves through advanced coursework. In addition to core academic classes, students may have access to a variety of electives, accelerated courses, and college-level opportunities.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PLANNING YOUR MIDDLE SCHOOL SCHEDULE
Course selections are used as a guide when creating student schedules. While every effort is made to honor student preferences, requested courses are not guaranteed and are subject to availability, academic requirements, and scheduling considerations. Placement in advanced, GEM, high school-level, and dual enrollment courses is based on a student's academic history and applicable eligibility requirements. Families will be contacted when special permission or additional steps are required. Elective scheduling also takes into consideration course availability, core academic requirements, and required electives such as Physical Education. Some courses listed in the curriculum guide may not appear on the subject selection form because they are assigned based on individual student needs.
