Hello Somerset Academy Riverside families!

My name is Mr. Carlos Bracero, your Assistant Principal, and I am proud to welcome our returning and new families to the 2026–2027 school year at Somerset Academy at Riverside! This will be my fourth school year at Somerset Riverside and my 18th year in education. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in History and Master of Science in Curriculum and Instructional Development from Florida International University, followed by a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Doral College. I am a lifelong learner and plan to continue my educational journey by pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership in the near future.

Originally from New Hampshire, I am a proud New Englander and a passionate supporter of my Boston and New England sports teams. Outside of education, one of my greatest passions is traveling and exploring new places, cultures, history, and experiences. Whether visiting a new city, discovering historical sites, or experiencing different cultures, I enjoy bringing those experiences and perspectives back into my work with students and our school community.

I look forward to another wonderful year at Somerset Riverside and to continuing to build meaningful relationships with our students and families!
